Social and Digital Lead

What We Do

We are a free-thinking healthcare communications agency, on a mission to bring creativity and authenticity to health conversations. We turn science into powerful stories to create memorable campaigns that get people talking.

The word ‘Anthem’ derives from Ancient Greek antiphon, which means ‘voices alternating harmoniously’. So, we are passionate about creating ultra-engaging campaigns that unite, rouse and uplift.

Our clients are Global, EMEA and UK pharma and biotech businesses, and our work spans media relations to corporate communications; global strategic communications planning to online content marketing and social media; advocacy to access and value communications.

Some Things We Are Proud Of

We are a multi-award winning agency. In the last 12 months, campaigns with social and digital at the heart have been given the thumbs up by judges at Communique and the PM Society Digital awards.

Why Should You Join Us?

Joining Anthem gives people a sense of belonging & the opportunity to make a real impact. When joining us, you can expect:

About You

We’re not for everyone: we’re for the freethinking, the unconfined, the passionate, the insightful

You will have likely worked in a similar role within an agency environment before and due to the complexity of the work we deliver and the pace at which we do it, having this experience will be an advantage.

As a Social and Digital Lead you will have the following experience:

  • Client-facing, account handling experience within a PR environment, with a strong proven aptitude in the social media and digital space

  • Previous experience in healthcare-specific social and digital role preferable, but not essential. However, experience in a regulated sector required. Passion for playing a role in transforming people’s lives through health communications essential!

  • An ability to clearly articulate social media and digital behaviours as they relate to and impact our clients’ business and communications objectives

  • Experience in pitching for and winning business that requires an emphasis on social media and digital content

  • Curiosity, with an insatiable appetite for new discoveries

  • Problem-solving abilities

  • Analytical skills that enable us to demonstrate wins and successes achieved on behalf of our clients

  • An understanding of best practice in campaign measurement, and the experience to implement this across a wide range of communications tactics

  • Experience with social listening tools and content management platforms

  • Strongly collaborative – looks for opportunities to work with others within your own team and across the wider business

  • Self starter – also able to work proactively and autonomously

This is the place where every employee can bring their true selves to work; where every person, regardless of background, is inspired and enabled to do the best work of their lives. We make no apologies for not being for everyone; we’re not ‘middle-of-the-road’, and neither are you. We have tenacity, and the insight, drive and passion to exceed expectations. As do you. We’re about attitude and mindset. You bring the hunger to truly make a difference, and we’ll arm you with the tools you need, the support to let you reach further than you ever have before, and the appreciation you deserve.

What We Expect

We have worked hard to define and build a culture that adds value to our clients and creates the perfect environment for our teams. That’s why we put our values heart and centre of everything we do, they’re not just words on a page, or a wall, but act as an anchor for how we recruit, train and reward our team.

Our team are:

  • Dynamically Driven

  • Committed to Growth

  • Truly Passionate

  • Exceeding Expectations

  • Freethinking

We’ll ask you to come with ambition, drive, eagerness and excitement for growth. We’ll also ask you to be honest, open and committed. In turn, you can expect us to give you flexible working to fit around your life, access to diverse and interesting clients and projects, recognition and appreciation for great work, regular socials and thoughtful touches.

The Wider Network

We are part of an independent network called The Resonant Group. The Resonant Group currently comprises three companies: Bedrock Healthcare Communications, Origins and Anthem.

Think of them as siblings who have each other’s backs; driven by the same core values whilst enjoying different interests; sharing opportunities; stronger as a Group; pushing each other to be the best they can be.

Equal Opportunities

Whilst we seek talent in different places, and colleagues with varying backgrounds, we all share the same values.

We are committed to creating and sustaining an environment where anyone, from any background, feels inspired and supported to do the best work of their lives.

We deliver robust and authentic diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) programs to help every employee feel they can bring their true selves to work. It’s simply the right thing to do.

Some Small Print

At Anthem we want to use the power of our network and agency partnerships. We are therefore not looking to add any new recruiters to our Preferred Supplier List at this time.
