Unexpected voices: How different perspectives can create more impactful communications

I’ve been reading with excitement about the upcoming Celebrity Traitors, and it got me thinking – what made the original so compelling was that it wasn’t celebrities.  It was ordinary people.  Unfamiliar faces with unpredictable stories. It was the unexpected voice. The quiet ones. The unassuming ones. The ones you could imagine sitting next to at work.

In healthcare communications we often rely on senior leaders for thought leadership. Whilst their perspective is essential, is it always the most engaging?

As consumers of media, we’re drawn to authenticity. We want voices we can relate to. HCPs want to hear from their peers. Social media wants honesty and human insight. Even journalists are looking for fresh, more grounded perspectives – not just the polished corporate line.

At Anthem, we believe that corporate reputations are strongest when more voices are heard. We work with our clients to democratise thought leadership - creating space for stories from across the organisation, not just the top. Because impactful communications don’t just inform, they provoke conversations that unite people. And it’s the authentic, relatable stories that build lasting trust and credibility.
